As you may already be aware, we’re busy planning our next big demonstration on Friday 20th August, starting at 10:00am at Chaffers Running Track, next to the Glenwyllin Road entrance of the park.

The postcode is L22 4RN but we encourage everyone to come on foot, by bike or public transport wherever possible to reduce the amount of cars in the area, as this is a residential road.

Our demonstration will begin with a rally on Rimrose Valley itself, with politicians and environmental campaigners addressing the crowds, before we plan to get mobile on a march!  More details on the exact route and approximate timings will be shared as soon as they’re confirmed.

With it being the summer holidays we really hope that you and your families can attend.  We want this to be big, bright, colourful and for everyone to be represented – old, young and everything in between!

So why not get making your placards and banners and make sure they’re easy to carry for when we’re on the move.

The best way to keep up to date is by following us on social media at the links listed below, along with some really simple things you can be doing to help support the campaign:

  1. Follow us on social media… we’re on Facebook Twitter and Instagram
  2. Help us to cover our costs by donating to the campaign.  Every penny makes a difference.
  3. Tell the Secretary of State for Transport what you think by contacting them.  They need to know all about Rimrose Valley and the communities around it before they sign off plans to destroy it.
  4. Sign our petition on change.org.  It only takes a minute and is a simple way of saying ‘no’!
